An Open Letter to My Daughter

An Open Letter to My Daughter

The last conversation we never had

To my first born child,

There are so many things I didn’t get to say.  A broken world got in our way.

I wish I had known our last conversation would be the last.

I would have told you that I loved you ─ before your lungs filled with air. That I fell in love with you, before our eyes ever met. That I loved being your mom.

If you were here today, I would tell you that I would be first in line to take all your pain away. I’d reassure you of your value and worth in heaven & on earth.

I’d wash your wounds and cross a bridge of grace ─ to meet you with the biggest embrace.

But, you’re not here ─ heaven couldn’t wait.

Someone went before us ─ He died for me and you. His nail scared hands ─ they now hold you.

I know you’re more alive than ever ─ and pain ─ a distant memory. The warmth of perfect love ─ has become your home.

You dreamed of having all your children together ─ we did it, Brandi. All but one of your babies is here. They are beautiful. We’ll be here for them to keep your memory alive ─ because love never dies.

Until we meet again ─ you’re life I’ll not let be in vain. A strong voice on behalf of those who suffer will rise from deep within. You will continue to make a difference in heaven and on earth.

I love you, Brandi ─ Save a place for me at the table.

My 19 year old self and my first born child, Brandi Mae

I love you Brandi, save a place for me at the table.

Then the angel said to me, “Write these words: Wonderfully blessed are those who are invited to feast at the wedding celebration of the Lamb!” Revelations 19:9

Dear friend, How precious and beautiful was your sharing of your heart, family and pictures. I am so very sorry Tami for your loss and my heart aches with yours. I also rejoice with you in the connections and future opportunities the Lord has/will grant you with your grandchildren. I am lifting you all up today and asking for His perfect peace and comfort. Love and Many Blessings, Rochelle
